Tools and Programs
To find a provider for nutritional or behavioral therapy, please use the “Find a Provider” button at the top of the site. You can search by city, state, county or zip code for providers near you who accept this plan.
The following options are available regardless of where you are in your weight loss journey.
Lifestyle and Condition Coaching (LCC) Program: Weight Management Coaching
It can be challenging to recognize behaviors that make it difficult to keep a healthy weight. That’s why we offer these high-touch multichannel journeys for weight management. Using education, coaching and evidence-based advice, we connect, motivate and empower members to take charge of their health.

Motivate
- Live, virtual group classes led by experienced coaches for 24 weeks
- One-to-one phone coaching sessions once every three weeks
- In-person support at specified intervals*
*Eligible members receive in-person support during weeks 4, 10, 16 and 20 from providers at MinuteClinic® locations where available.
For our pediatric participants, LCC health coaches work directly with parents or guardians to manage their child’s weight.
To enroll in the program, contact LCC at 1-866-533-1410 (TTY: 711) or go to MyActiveHealth.com/MHBP . Our health coaches are available Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM ET.
Coaching programs
There are different coaching programs based on your body mass index (BMI) that can help you manage your weight. These programs use health information to make sure you get the support that works best for you.
Our weight management coaching programs are made just for you based on your BMI and other health risks. There are two options you can try:
- If your BMI is below 30, you’ll receive personalized support from a coach through one-on-one sessions. You can also join group coaching classes that last for six weeks. Your coach and the group sessions will guide you in learning effective ways to manage your weight. You can meet with your coach as often as you like and continue until you feel ready to graduate from the program.
- If your BMI is 30 or higher, you’ll have one-on-one sessions with a nurse who will help you learn how to manage your weight. You will get regular support and can keep going in the program until you feel ready to stop.
All coaching programs have group classes available and assignments you can do on the Aetna Health Your Way® platform to help you learn and stay healthy.
Besides the coaching programs, you can find weight management help on the Aetna Health Your Way platform on the Aetna member website. There are different digital pathways you can follow, like Manage Your Weight, Be More Active and Make Healthier Food Choices. Each pathway has goals, like eating better and exercising, that you work on to move forward. You can choose a pathway when you first log in or pick one later from your profile screen.
In every pathway, you set goals for yourself and check your progress often. When you finish one goal, you move on to the next goal. You can finish the whole pathway by completing all the goals.
Once logged in, you can also find more weight management tools under Explore. These tools include articles, videos, audio recordings, and live and recorded webinars.
No matter which program or pathway you choose, you’ll have support and resources to help you achieve your weight management goals.
To access these programs and resources, log in to your Aetna member website. Once you log in, look for the Aetna Health Your Way tile under Health and Wellness. You will be redirected to the ActiveHealth® website.
The CVS Weight Management™ Program combined with weight loss medications provides personalized support that helps participants achieve lasting results. Participation in this program is mandatory if you would like to fill all weight loss medication at our plan-designated cost share.
This program will help you reach your weight management goals through:
- One-on-one support from a team of providers and registered dieticians
- A nutrition plan tailored just for you
- Access to the Health Optimizer™ app, which includes helpful guides, recipes, goal-setting information and much more
- A connected body weight scale and other devices(as applicable) to support and track your progress
