How to nominate a provider

Generally, if you’re retired and have Medicare Parts A and/or B as your primary coverage, it’s not necessary to select an in-network provider.

However, you won’t receive in-network level benefits for any services that Medicare doesn’t cover when you choose an out-of-network provider.

Your relationship with your provider is important. We understand the importance of having confidence in your health care provider. You’ve built a trusting relationship and you want to keep it. Yet you can save by using an in-network provider. That’s why we make it easy for providers to join our network.

Search our directory for health care professionals or call 1-800-410-7778 (TTY: 711).

Your provider may not be part of our network. If so, tell them to visit https://extaz-oci.aetna.com/pocui/join-the-aetna-network and choose the appropriate channel to get started. We’ve streamlined the process to ensure the provider has a smooth transition once they’re officially participating in our network.
