Important 2019 MHBP Benefit Change Regarding Intermountain Healthcare’s Providers Access
Beginning in 2019, MHBP subscribers in Utah will be able to either choose to continue their access to the Utah Standard Network – Choice POS II providers or choose to access the Utah Connected Network which includes all Intermountain Healthcare providers on an annual basis. No action is necessary if you would like to choose the Utah Standard Network.
- If you are an existing members and prefer the Utah Connected Network to gain access all IHC providers, you must notify us by Friday, December 21, 2018 by submitting a Utah Connected Network form.
- If you are a new member and prefer the Utah Connected Network to gain access all IHC providers, you must notify us by February 1, 2019 by submitting a Utah Connected Network form.
What is the difference between the two networks?
- Utah Connected Network includes all Intermountain Healthcare (IHC) and HCA/Mountainstar facilities as well as select University of Utah providers.
- Utah Standard Network- POS II includes all University of Utah, HCA/Mountainstar, Steward Healthcare (formerly IASIS) and all rural IHC facilities and supporting providers.
